This mural can be seen on the 2nd-floor rotunda of the Missouri State Capitol. It depicts a street scene outside the Capitol building in St. Charles, which was designated as the temporary capital of the state in 1821 and remained the seat of government until 1826 when Jefferson City became the permanent capital city.
